It matters how you look!

Dear TLC,
I have been taking my animals to TLC for about 26 years (first, Max, then Auggie, then Daisy, then Oliver). I don’t care where I move in the L.A. area, my dogs HAVE to go to TLC!
Why? Because the owner and operator is Kim Brown, the Queen of Dogs in L.A. as far as I’m concerned. She is a master groomer, having been in the business for about 50 years. She has multiple certificates and honors in dog grooming (International Society of Canine Cosmetologists, National Dog Groomers’ Association of America, Inc., and Companion Animal Hygienist certificate). But that isn’t the point. She is an excellent manager: She knows who to hire to get the job done properly! And if there are any idiosyncrasies (physical or mental) that an animal has, she and her people know how to treat them! One of my dogs had no eyeballs, but TLC handled his grooming perfectly, and he was always happy to go to TLC. Another of my dogs had very little sight, having congenital cataracts, but she, too, was always happy to go to TLC. Kim and her people are great.
Kim also has an answer for virtually any question a dog owner might have, for she has studied dogs intensely for 50 years, and she is especially big on natural remedies.
Getting the animal to TLC can sometimes be trying. Most of us are just beyond busy, so sometimes we need help in transporting our animals to TLC. TLC has a wonderful service that, for a nominal sum, will gently pick up your animal and bring him/her home looking brand new. Now that I have moved out of the general area of TLC, I still have TLC pick up my doggie for his grooming. I was astonished the last time he was picked up, because the transport man was the same gentleman who had come to my house in years past, and he remembered me, even though I had moved and I now had a new dog! The price for the transport is only a few dollars more than it would cost me in gas for my car! And never mind the time that this service saves! (We all know how wretched the traffic on the Westside can be!)
The people at TLC are all experienced. I rarely have to go into any detail about what I want. Somehow, they just know. “Bath only.” Fine. And they usually throw in an herbal flea deterrent (always good in Southern California!). “Just cut the hair on his face.” Fine. He comes back looking like he went to a fine Beverly Hills hair salon, with an artistic and functional cut! My dogs have never come back from TLC looking less than gorgeous. When they come back from TLC, I want to parade them around everywhere; they look like celebrities to me. And, of course, when they’re so clean and gorgeous, that’s the best time for a good cuddle!

Dear Kim,
I have been taking our two standard poodles to Tender Loving care for the past 14 years. They have always treated our pets in a sensitive and caring way. Our current Poodle is Ajax one years of age. He is always groomed perfectly and cut to a poodles perfection. Kim the owner helped us to find this precious pet and we are forever grateful.
